The No-Soak Kit – Thin Viscosity Base Coat (Cross Hatched Formation)

The No-Soak Kit has been specially designed for professionals adopting The No-Soak Method. This kit brings together our two best-selling e-file bits, selected for their compatibility with thin viscosity base coats. Featuring teeth in a cross-hatched formation, these pieces give you precision, control, and versatility while catering to your personal preference of finish and removal.

Inside this kit you’ll find:

  • The Penultimate – Fine Grade, Silver

  • The Penny – Medium Grade, Silver

  • Both are classic Round Top Barrel Safety bits, giving you two grits to confidently remove and refine thin base coats.

This kit is perfect for techs who prefer the smooth, controlled action of a cross-hatched formation and want to work with tools proven to be best-sellers in the Willow range.

These pieces are suited to, but not limited to the removal of thin viscosity base coats.

E-file bits must be cleaned & stored correctly to remain sharp. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Recommended Cleaning

Step 1
Remove dust and product using warm soapy water, the Willow Spit-Spot-Bit-Pot, and our Brass Brush. Alternatively, place in your Ultrasonic Cleaner with suitable detergent on the relevant cycle.

Step 2
Disinfect or sterilise. We recommend the Willow Spray & Go 2-in-1 system as it avoids prolonged soaking. Spray evenly, roll, and spray again. If using a soaking system, only steep for the recommended time — over-soaking will dull your bits.

Step 3
Wait 2 minutes, then thoroughly dry by hand (do not leave to air dry). Store in your Bit Case or Bit Book.

When to Replace Your Bit

If your bit once required 1–2 swipes but now takes 3+ to penetrate product, it’s time for a new piece. Continuing to use a worn bit slows removal and increases physical strain.
